Earthstompers payment & cancellation terms

5 or 6 Day Garden Route group tours:

• We require a 20% deposit to confirm a tour. The balance of the payment is due 30 days before tour departure.
• Cancellation policy (garden route group tours):
  • Cancellation up to 7 days before departure date: fee of 5% of total tour price
  • Cancellation 6 days – 3 days before departure date: fee of 50% of total tour price
  • Cancellation 2 days or less before departure date, or no-show: fee of 100% of total tour price
• One free date change, as long as you let us know more than 7 days before scheduled tour departure date (and subject to tour availability).

Private day tours (no accommodation):

• We require a 20% deposit to confirm a tour. The balance of the payment is due 30 days before tour departure.
• Cancellation policy (private day tours):
  • Cancellation 31+ days before departure date: fee of 15% of total tour price
  • Cancellation 30 days – 15 days before departure date: fee of 50% of total tour price
  • Cancellation 14 days – 8 days before departure date: fee of 75% of total tour price
  • Cancellation 7 days or less or no show for departure date: fee of 100% of total tour price

Private multi-day tours:

• We require a 20% deposit to confirm a tour. The balance of the payment is due 60 days before tour departure.
• Cancellation policy (private multi-day tours):
  • Cancellation 31+ days before departure date: fee of 15% of total tour price
  • Cancellation 30 days – 15 days before departure date: fee of 50% of total tour price
  • Cancellation 14 days – 8 days before departure date: fee of 75% of total tour price
  • Cancellation 7 days or less or no show for departure date: fee of 100% of total tour price
• Peak season (15 December – 15 January) payment and cancellation terms can differ – please ask your tour consultant for specific terms.

Stand-alone accommodation or safari bookings:

• We require a 20% deposit to confirm a tour. The balance of the payment is due 60 days before tour departure. (Subject to change depending on the supplier.)
• Earthstompers makes use of hundreds of different hotels, guest houses, and safari lodges in our tour packages. Each of these has their own cancellation policies, which will prevail in the event of a cancellation.   Please ask your tour consultant for specific terms.
• In the event of a cancellation, a 10% cancellation fee on the overall package price will be retained by Earthstompers, to cover credit card and administrative charges.

All bookings:

• We strongly recommend that clients take out travel insurance to cover fees in case of cancellations or other unforeseen circumstances.
